Background

Dr. Donna Bourgeois Diaz, D.C. is a Southern Louisiana native from Lafayette, Louisiana, who attended and received an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Houston. She then went on the graduate from the doctorate program for chiropractic at Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, California.

Dr. Donna was a Division 1 collegiate softball player at University of Louisiana Lafayette (2008-2010) and the University of Houston (2011), where she played in the Women’s College World Series.  She also played professionally in the National Professional Fastpitch League for the Chicago Bandits in 2011 winning the National Championship.

She is still a competitive athlete in Crossfit and has competed with a team at Regionals 5 times (2012,2013, 2015, 2017,2018) and the Crossfit Games in 2012.

Dr. Donna has a “practice what you preach” mindset and believes whole-heartedley that people should not have to be hindered by pain or injuries that get in the way of doing what we love to do.  She regularly reminds patients that injuries are simply learning opportunities and stepping stones towards achieving the goals we have.  Our bodies are much more resilient and capable than we give them credit for.
